Project Management – Every Information Technology project, no matter what size, benefits from Project Management. Our team will partner with the customer and all project participants to insure planning, coordination and successful execution of the plan. As projects grow in scope or complexity project management becomes exponentially more important – such as large design efforts or national roll-outs. GA Services has years of experience in project planning and management. We can provide overall project management or provide a project manager for a subset of the total work effort which coordinates with the customer’s project manager or project steering committee. Our project managers are capable of putting together a complete project plan with the most important element being the Statement of Work (SOW). We have seasoned professionals capable of planning, documenting, tracking and reporting on customer defined projects. Key success factors for any project are resource tracking and communications. The GAS PM maintains oversight of project execution and stays in communication with field resources, GAS support team, other project participants and the Customer’s project team. The GAS PM can work as part of the client project management team or assume total responsibility for the project.  The GAS infrastructure – including the 24 x 7 call center and the telephone technical support team, is a proven, knowledgeable, experienced resource available to the project manger to assure that each site stays on schedule and under budget.

Pre-Installation Services – A site survey is necessary to review the location and determine work required to prepare the sites for installation. A Site Survey Report is then presented to the customer. For example, it specifies coverage requirements and access point locations for wireless systems, cabling needs, power needs, physical installation requirements and limitations such as ceiling heights for digital signage. A variety of site preparation steps are also required in advance of the product and install crew arriving in order to ensure sites are fully ready for a successful installation. A partial list of these services include:

• Cabling – Installation of Ethernet, coaxial and fiber optic cable as well as standard electrical wiring.
• Power conditioning/UPS units, electrical (AC) installation.
• Wiring closet work, rack installation, cable routing and finishing.
• Determine network connection, assurance of network access, installation of hubs, routers and switches.
• Cable testing and documentation.

Installation Services – GA Services has developed a high quality, competitive on-site installation model – tested in countless nationwide deployments. This includes Kiosks, Digital Signage, POS Terminals, Card Readers, Work Stations, Wireless Systems, Phone Systems, Servers – to name only a few. There is no location in the US that GAS cannot serve. We also have installation resources in Canada. The GAS on-site installation resources are widely diverse in the technology knowledge base with a wide variety of certifications, are capable of installing any technology based device - no matter how complex and, most important, are experienced in adapting to unscheduled events.

Post-Installation Wrap Up – Every deployment project requires detailed follow up to assure that the project was completed as specified in the SOW. This involves the preparation of custom reports to the satisfaction of the customer. The GAS project manager and sales manager are the key GAS professionals responsible for this phase of the project.

Technology Refresh and Device Upgrade – Installation of new technology is an important dimension of our business but there is already a huge installed base of technology systems and devices in remote sites. Many deployment projects therefore require ‘refresh’ of the existing installed systems or upgrade of already deployed devices. GA Services’ existing customer base is solid testimony of our overall knowledge and experience in this growing arena of information technology deployment.
